We are proud that educational excellence is available at all levels in our community. Three area school districts offer both traditional and non-traditional public education options at the primary and secondary levels including three foreign language immersion schools and two international high schools. 

Private schools include numerous elementary schools and high schools, including various denominational and special education centers for all students--gifted, as well as physically and mentally challenged. Find out more about local private schools.

The University of Oregon with a student population of over 20,000, is a major research institution and important center for advanced learning. Many of the University's professional schools and departments are highly ranked nationally, including the Schools of Journalism, Music, Business, Molecular Biology, Law and College of Arts and Sciences.

Lane Community College (LCC), a public, two-year institution, enrolls over 41,000 students each academic year. LCC offers excellent preparation for four-year colleges and, since 1985, has been continually ranked among the top five community colleges in the nation. LCC plays a major role in our region's economic development, offering comprehensive job training and retraining. Other instructional programs include professional technical degree and certificate programs, high school diploma and GED programs, continuing education noncredit courses and transfer credit programs.

Northwest Christian College (NCC) is an accredited school offering four-year bachelor's degrees in Biblical Studies, Ministry, Elementary Educational and a variety of other occupations and professions, NCC also offers a master's degree in School/Consulting, and a degree completion program for adults.

Eugene Bible College offers bachelor's degrees in Christian Counseling, Biblical Studies, Christian Education and Youth Ministries, among others. 

Other higher education institutions include Pioneer Pacific College. Linfield College has a center for adult degree programs.
